Episode 13 - Reflections
“It’s really fast how time flies,” says Paco Guerrero in the beginning of this episode. “I was just thinking of Two Stops Over and how we’ve managed to clock in a season’s worth of episodes. Unbelievable.”
It really is unbelievable. After twelve episodes, this one takes a look back at the various subjects Two Stops Over brought into mainstream consciousness: the dancers of Ballet Philippines; the bands of Terno Recordings; the differently-abled athletes, who represent the country abroad; various beauty queens of all shapes and sizes, and genders; martial artists from the Philippine Pencak Silat Association; the village people of Peñaranda; the elderly in Bahay Kanlungan and the orphans in Jesus Loves The Little Children Foundation; the national and UAAP swimmers of Speedo; and, the Angeles City Flying Club (ACFC), Canon Philippines, the Canon A Team, the young PWD achievers, among others, in the “PWD Achievers: Reach for the Sky” event in Clark.
We look back at the people who made these episodes possible: Margie Moran-Floirendo, President of Ballet Philippines; Gemma Cruz-Araneta, President, Chairperson Heritage Conservation Society and Vice-chairperson Manila Historical and Heritage Commission; Philip Kee and his team of stylists from the Louis Philip Kee Salon; the CGI team at Underground Logic; Betsy Lim, Mayleen Valentino, and Edelyn Lanilla from Speedo; Joyce Barton-Titular, who got us in touch with the old folks’ home and orphanage in the Young & Old episode; Joseph C. Mabalay, Edna de Leon, and Hon. Mayor Ferdinand Abesamis, who brought us all over Peñaranda ; and photographer and advocate John K. Chua, who invited us to the PWD event in Clark, among others.
It’s all about gratitude: a big warm hug to everyone who made the first season possible.
